Born in Baltimore, Maryland, August 22, 1971. Attended Gilman School; University of Pennsylvania, B.A. (history), 1993; University of Virginia School of Law, J.D., 2000 (executive editor, Virginia Journal of International Law). Cornerstone Award (for pro bono work on behalf of Harlem firehouse which lost three firefighters on September 11, 2001), Lawyers Alliance for New York.
