The Executive Committee for Dredged Material Management Plans formed in October 2001 (Chapter 627, Acts of 2001). The development of State plans to manage dredged material from the Port of Baltimore is overseen by the Committee. The Committee works to develop a program that is effective economically and environmentally sound.
In December 2001, the Committee submitted its report to the General Assembly on implementation of Chapter 627, Acts of 2001. As required under the Act, on December 31, 2002, the Committee reported to the General Assembly on the strategic long-term management plans for dredged materials.
